Damselfly hut was amazing. Everything you could have needed from a glamping experience and more. Gill and Heather are really lovely and were on hand if we needed anything. The private garden was beautiful to sit in. We also particularly loved spending time with Harry, the resident ginger cat.

Damselfly felt like an idyllic escape from daily life. The hosts, Heather and Gill, have skillfully combined all the elements: the hut was a feat of craftwomanship (hats off to Heather) and everything we needed, while the setting in a naturalistic garden (thank you Gill) was the perfect place to relax. We relished the recommendations for places to eat and visit and appreciated the fresh eggs, butter and bara brith. The hosts welcomed us warmly and made themselves avaailable should we need anything but the layout of Damselfly also meant that we could feel very much in  our own space

We had such a wonderful time with Heather and Gill in their beautiful cabin. We're cabin connoisseurs and this is the best we have ever stayed in. They really got the details right for an experience that left us feeling so connected to the outdoors. The walk through the orchard, past the chickens to the cabin's very own and beautiful garden immedietely set the vibe for a chill stay. We had everything we needed to cook up great local food (including eggs from Heather and Gill's own chickens), make pizza in the outdoor pizza oven and get a wonderfully restorative nights sleep. We appreciated the light blocking shutters, a good shower and waking up to so many birds singing. We were sad to leave and hope to come back in the summer!

WE had a fantastic weekend at Damselfly! Beautiful location and a really lovely, comfortable stay in a very well equipped (and warm!) shepherds hut, especially the super kitchen and shower. Heather was a super host- thank you xx

A big thank you to Heather and Gill for a wonderful mini holiday. The shepherds huts are very comfortable with a big double bed. hot powerful shower and the underfloor heating is such a good touch! Damselfly is a very peaceful place, it was lovely to wake up to bird song every morning and to look out onto the garden. Places near I'd recommend to visit would be Mwnt beach and Penbryn beach, coastal walk from Abereiddy beach to Porthgain and definately check out The Shed in Porthgain for delicious seafood. Newport town is very pretty with lots of places to eat. If you want a day without the car there is a walk near by that takes you to a waterfall - Wales you were wonderful! Heather thank you for the Bara Brithe , we scoffed it!

A  lovely late Autumn stay. We arrived late on Friday to be met by Heather and Gill. The kitchen/bathroom hut has under floor heating which was lovely and very effective. The kitchen was as stocked as you'd wand with a suprising amount of equipment. Yhe bedroom was initially cold but warmed up quickly with the stove, on the second night we were opening windows to cool down! The shutters are very effective at blocking light. We went for two walks over the weekend, one between Moylegrove and Poppit Sands along the coast, a lovely place to watch the sea and see the folding strata. The second day we climbed Carn Ingli an d walked through the wonderful Ty Canol woodland to Pentre Ifan

We had a wonderful relaxing stay at Damselfly. Loved the shepherds hut that was so beautifully made, and Gill & Heather's cats Harry and Merry, will definitely be coming back to explore Pembrokeshire again.

My husband and I spent a wonderful two days at Damselfly for our second wedding anniversary.

Walking up to the shepherd's huts is a delight in itself, wandering through an apple orchard, past geese and home grown vegetables and finally through a garden of wildflowers and perfectly placed seating areas where you can listen to wildlife and think about everything and nothing.

Gill and Heather gave us such a warm welcome, showing us the ropes and giving lots of helpful information about the surroundings and things to do during our stay.

The thought and attention to detail that has gone into the huts is incredible. From the underfloor heating to the plethora of books and games to the super soft towels and bedding. After a gruelling but invigorating run along the Pembrokeshire coastal path, it was such a treat to get back to our cosy huts with wine and board games, with only the sound of the wild to keep us company.

We can't wait to go back again!

I'm originally from Pembrokeshire and know the area very well, but found this gem of a place in the peaceful setting of the Preseli Mountains.

We've stayed in shepherds huts and glamping destinations before, but this is a step up in class to anywhere else.

The set up is so well thought out- from the interconnected huts, garden, interior, under floor heating, everything you'd need.

On top of this we we're welcomed with a bottle of wine to celebrate a birthday, coffee & cake.  And were left in privacy for tye duration of our stay

Great hosts amazing stay.

Pure bliss!

Well what can we both say?

Apart from what a fantastic few days (not enough to be honest) in Damselfly Shepherds hut.

Thankyou for allowing us to come here to enjoy the hut & its surroundings, we loved the garden, the wildlife, oh yes & the wake up calls!!  (from the cockerels)

I want to tell everyone what a lovely time we had, but want to keep it secret so we can come again and again!

Thankyou and good luck with everything,

This is a tranquil haven, home to a host of industrious birds, bees and butterflies and some fabulous flora. We loved the cosy and comfortable interior – particularly that most of the brilliant furniture is the work of the owners - and the gorgeous private garden space, complete with firepit and affectionate cat for the perfect starlit evening (or even a cloudy one as was the case for us).  Damselfly really shows the care and attention of its friendly and welcoming owners, Gill and Heather. Thanks for having us.
